Working principle of automatic labeling machine
Automatic labeling machine is a device that can paste paper rolls or self-adhesive labels to designated packaging containers or products. Labels have an adhesive backing and are regularly lined on glossy backing paper. The labeling mechanism on the labeling machine can automatically peel it off. The following labels can be done: flat bonding, single or multi-sided bonding of packaging materials, cylindrical bonding, cylindrical bonding with partial or complete coverage, recessed and corner bonding.
Let's talk about the working principle of the automatic labeling machine.
The labeling machine first feeds the boxes into the labeling machine on a conveyor at a constant speed. Mechanical fixtures separate the boxes by a fixed distance and then push the product along the direction of the conveyor belt. The mechanical system of the labeling machine includes a driving wheel, a labeling wheel, and a reel. The driving wheel pulls the label tape intermittently, pulling the label tape out of the reel, and at the same time, the label tape is pressed against the product packaging by the label wheel. An open-loop displacement control is used on the reel to maintain tension on the label web. Since the labels are tightly bound on the tape, the tape must be started and stopped constantly.
Labels are applied to boxes at the same speed as labeling wheels. When the conveyor belt reaches a certain position, the drive belt of the label tape will accelerate to match the speed of the conveyor belt. After the label is applied, it will slow down to a stop.
Since the labels can slip, there are alignment marks on the labels to ensure that each label is placed correctly. The alignment marks are read by sensors. During the tape deceleration phase, the drive wheel will adjust its position to correct any position errors on the tape.
